To sell, plan and execute catered events to include menu planning, event logistics, event details, internal and external communications and time lines.
- First line client contact and follow through
- Menu selection and specs appropriate to each event
- Conduct phone meetings, on and off site meetings with clients
- Write equipment checklists appropriated to each event
- Conduct client tastings at Katherine’s and/or off site
- Select and coordinate all necessary outside services and appropriated mark ups and handling fees: beverages, pastries, linens rentals, entertainment, florals, etc.
- Stay consistent with company policies on payments, pricing and contract matters
- Follow protocol on distribution of event sheets
- Client deposits, payment and follow up
- Design events that flow logistically
- Collaborate with catering manager on staffing needs
- Attend events when appropriate as client/supervisor liaison
- Attend weekly catering meetings, staff meetings and monthly sales meetings
- Attend all other meetings as required (financial focus, marketing, all staff)
- Contribute to printed catering menus and collateral
- Participate in off-site promotional efforts (trade shows, etc.)
- Work with venues and vendors to build relationships
- Communicate and collaborate with internal departments to ensure successful well-orchestrated events
- Stay connected to industry partners and attend industry events
- Join one trade association and attend monthly meetings
- Phone coverage as needed
- Special projects
